We're kicking off this new update with TOUR NEWS! We can't wait until the Memory Lane tour is here, but until then we're happy with all news we can find. Tom and Harry announced on Twitter young indie pop band The Vamps will be joining McFly on tour. They will be opening for McFly in April and May. According to Tom 'they'll be performing naked... every night'. Right.

Other music news, McFly is currently looking for a new McFly HQ. Tom said: 'Just been checking out some studios. We wants our own space innit!' Exciting!

Tom Felton mistaken for McFly's Fletcher

HARRY POTTER star TOM FELTON was left bemused after a fan in Los Angeles mistook him for another celebrity with the same first name - MCFLY pop rocker TOM FLETCHER.

A girl stopped the 25-year-old actor during a chance meeting on Monday (04Mar13) and gushed about how much she loved his work - but it soon dawned on Felton that he wasn't the Tom she thought he was.

In a series of Twitter.com posts, he writes, "So just had a rather amusing experience. Girl came up to me in LA and asked for a picture. I ofcourse (sic) said yes! She went on to tell (me) how she was such a big fan of my work, loved everything I'd done and even said she loved my music! Very humbled at this point, I smiled..."

"She then mid picture told me how my wedding video was the best thing she'd ever seen..... then it hit me,she thinks I'm @tommcfly... I shamefully accepted the praise. I'd gone too far to turn back! couldn't tell her that she's got the #WrongTom so I just smiled to myself".

Felton, who portrayed villainous Draco Malfoy in the boy wizard franchise, is not married. Boyband star Fletcher, 27, wed Giovanna Falcone last year and recently shared a video clip of himself on his big day, singing McFly tracks to his new bride.

Today 'the wrong Tom' joked on Twitter:

Just took a photo with a very excited girl working at subway. All I could think of is I hope she doesn't think I'm @tommcfly Subway rocks x

McFly get Busted

McFly have been writing songs with former Busted singer Matt Willis.

The 'All About You' hitmakers - who are made up of Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones - have teamed up with the former Busted singer to pen new tracks, and they often hang out with the 29-year-old star and his wife, TV presenter Emma Willis, in their spare time.

Tom said: ''We've been writing songs with Matt recently. His wife Emma hangs out with my wife Giovanna. They're really good mates.''

It's not the first time the group have teamed up with members of Busted as the boy band recalled hanging out with the group's singer James Bourne during a visit to America once when the former Son of Dork star failed to be get recognised when he performed one of Busted's own songs at karaoke.

Harry added to Now magazine: 'We don't really do karaoke. But once we were in a bar in the States with James Bourne from Busted and did their song 'Year 3000'. It was amazing because no one knew who he was. People were like, 'That's such a cool Jonas Brothers song, man!''

Matt isn't the only one McFly's currently writing with - next to working on their new album. Tom said on Twitter today he spent the morning reading the pooping dino book to adults and he went off to Ireland to make some music with the One Direction lads afterwards. Busy lad that is.
