Time has come to say goodbye...

The end of an era. 

After five years of loyal service it's time to call it a day. We are no longer going to continue updating the mission:MCFLY website or any of our social media pages. The team is very sorry to have made this decision, and we will obviously miss it. We're not crying... there's just twigs, branches and trees in our eyes.

Looking back on all our years of fun, we've realized how many amazing things we've been able to do.  We started in October, 2008 with one main goal, our mission, which was to get McFly to The Netherlands... and within a couple of months we managed to get McFly to play their first gig in Europe (madness). Besides that, we've also had the opportunity to promote McFly on local and national radio, in magazines and also with many online missions. We've had the privilege to be in close contact with Super Records and Super City and have not taken this for granted (thanks guys).


Obviously, the mission:MCFLY team will remain McFly fans. So, you will still run into us at gigs. Galaxy Defenders stay forever.

Looking back on five amazing years, we (very cheesily) want to thank a few people: Tommy, Fletch, Dave, Malou, May, Celesta, the former mission:MCFLY Streetteam, venue 013, Paradiso, Melkweg, Oosterpoort, ICP Studios, Kaj & Misha (RTV Midden Brabant), Eric Bats (RTV Noord), Frank Spijkers (Maasland FM), Barry (Radio 538), Michiel (3FM), V-Radio, Tanja & William (Hitkrant), CosmoGIRL, Tina, NUKS, ANS, BT Digital Music Awards, Teen Today, Super Records, Super City, our anonymous sources, Tom, Danny, Dougie, Harry and of course... you guys.

The creative energy that the mission:MCFLY team used to put into this website, is now aimed at other personal projects. If you want to follow Caroline and/or Pascale on different corners of the internet, you can check out Caroline's twitter, and Pascale's twitter .


The website www.missionmcfly.com will be online until October 2014. After that this URL will no longer exist, and you will no longer be able to contact us on our @missionmcfly.com e-mail addresses. However, this webpage will remain online under a different URL (we will go back to being hosted by blogger.com). We will never completely go away.

SERIOUS COUPLE CRUSH ALERT.

Ahhh, the McFly lads. Giving us completely unreasonable expectations for boyfriends and relationships since 2003. Yep, they’re pretty much the most perfect boyfs/fiances/husbands going, and last night Danny Jones kept up the good work as he stepped out with his gorgeous gal Georgia Horsley.

Danny and Georgia could not have been looking more adorable as they proved that Love is NOT on the radio, but is actually at the UK Lingerie Awards. Fact.



Danny was looking F to the INE in a pair of dark skinny jeans, super sharp charcoal grey jacket, and tres sophisticated maroon shirt with a matching pocket square. We didn’t think it was possible, but he was looking even more dapper than he did in that red and blue rugby shirt in the Obviously video.

Meanwhile, his lovely lady Georgia was looking hot stuff in a one-shouldered emerald green dress paired with classic black heels, a black clutch and super glam voluminous curls.

But if you thought that picture was cute, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet...



OH GAHD, look at Danny's face. Our hearts have just melted into oblivion and gone to join Tom’s old fat in a far off land.

Can we just stop for a second and imagine how beautiful their children will be?... Yep, okay. We’re off to eat a tub of ice cream, cuddle our cat and plan how we can snare an alternative boyband member seeing as we’re kind of running out of McFly boys.

How cute are Danny and Georgia, eh? Loving them as a couple?

Hurrah we have some exciting news for McFly (and The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas) fans!!! We’ve only gone and nabbed ourselves 3 SIGNED copies of The Dinosaur That Pooped a Planet! It is the second instalment from the McFly Boys (Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter) which follows after the highly successful The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas. In this new book Danny and Dinosaur are back in another amazing adventure and this time they are going to space! But when Danny realises he’s forgotten Dino’s lunch box, the very hungry dinosaur eats everything in sight, including their only way home: the rocket! How will Dino get them back home?



About the authors:
Dougie Poynter is fascinated by reptiles, Tom Fletcher loves space, and they have a shared obsession with poop! After writing songs together for nine years in the band McFly, they wrote this book in the same way that they write their song lyrics.

Tom and Dougie comment ‘We absolutely love children’s fiction and have a passion for writing. We constantly come up with ridiculous ideas and can’t quite believe that this one is becoming a reality. We spend hours in book shops when we’re on tour finding inspiration from all kinds of books but more often than not we find ourselves in the kids picture book section getting funny looks from parents and staff. We both know that as kids we would have loved this book and so we hope that when children and parents read it they laugh as much as we did when we wrote it.’
