McFly will play HUGE 10th Anniversary gig at the Royal Albert Hall!
Source: Heatworld
Sometimes it's hard to believe that McFly have been around for ten years now. Ten years!
Harry Styles was only nine years old ten years ago! Our dog wasn't even born. Twitter didn't even exist! Even worse than that, heatworld didn't exist! Shudder... Anyway, enough of this scary talk: the fact is that McFly – Tom Fletcher, 27, Danny Jones, 27, Harry Judd, 27, and Dougie Poynter, 25 – have been around for a decade, and to celebrate they are planning a massive and very special gig at London's very-swanky Royal Albert Hall.
The event, which will take place in September, will be the first time the boys have played in the Royal Albert Hall and they are, to quote Tom, "really excited" about it.
When we spoke to Tom exclusively he revealed that there will be some very special guests joining them onstage at the event. Could that mean a certain five-piece boyband that McFly have already worked with? Could there be a One Direction/McFly duet mash-up merely months away from actually happening? Well, Tom is keeping that a secret for now, but we can all keep our fingers crossed.
As well as completing their current The Best of McFly UK tour, the band are getting ready to record their sixth studio album. Tom tells heatworld, "We're recording in America – out in the desert over there. Most of it is actually written already, and we've been working with loads of people, including James [Busted] Bourne and Rivers Cuomo from [US band] Weezer."
Tom was quick to add that the new album will be "proper old-school McFly", telling us, "It just feels so right – really current, but really 'us now'. It's summery, happy pop. Very Beach Boys, '60s-style – it's really exciting. We've written so many songs this time, so we're going to be able to pick all the best ones for the album." We can't wait!
Tickets for the gig at the Royal Albert Hall will be on sale soon. And you can still get tickets for their Best Of tour!
Tom is supporting the launch of bespoke offers from Barclaycard, getting you better value on shopping, entertainment and fashion. Find out more at bespokeoffers.co.uk.
THEY'VE got the McFly albums, they've been to their gig and now they want to get married with their music.
Gloucester's young love Ben Gaytten, 28, and Emma Brown, 29, are both big fans of the boy band.
So when Ben popped the question to accountant Emma, it was only fitting that McFly would feature in their wedding plans.
"They have always been our guilty pleasure," said Ben.
The pair will go down the aisle at the New County Hotel, in Southgate Street, on September 1 to the McFly hit No Worries.
Then their reception will see them enjoy their first dance to Heart Never Lies.
(Awww isn't that lovely? Shame the website calls McFly a boyband though. Read more HERE)

Confessions of a secret pop wife by Giovanna Fletcher, wife of McFly's Tom: Here she explains why it’s not all premieres and parties and how following her own dreams has kept her sane
Source: Daily Mail
Most girls can only dream of marrying a pop star, but for Giovanna Fletcher, wife of McFly’s Tom, it’s a reality. So what's it really like to be with the band?
When I was six years old my schoolteacher asked the class what we’d like to be when we grew up. Much to her surprise, I ignored all the sensible answers of a nurse, teacher or policewoman, and declared I wanted to be a millionaire and marry Michael Jackson. I’m not entirely sure where that answer came from, or what I thought being Mrs MJ would be like, but now I am married to somebody in the public eye I can admit that it’s not as glamorous as people might think.
I first met Tom in assembly at Sylvia Young Theatre School when we were 13 years old, which, yes, means I knew him before he found success as a singer/guitarist in McFly.
We fancied each other instantly. He asked me out and we were an item for two days before he dumped me for his ex-girlfriend. I was devastated but it didn’t take long for him to change his mind and we had a few years of being together and breaking up again – you know, all the joys and drama that come with teenagers. When we were 18 we got back together for good.

McFly's Harry Judd pulls out of charity assault course challenge
Source: Pressparty
McFly drummer Harry Judd withdrew from a charity assault course challenge this weekend because of his touring schedule.
The British star was due to take part in a 12 mile assault course called the Tough Muddler on Sunday (May 5), but he postponed his appearance.
McFly are currently on a long UK tour and it seems the event would have pushed Judd too far. He tweeted: "Unfortunately I've had to pull out of the Tough Mudder today. In hindsight doing a 12 mile assault course with 25 military obstacles in the middle of a tour wasn't the best idea. BUT I will be doing the Tough Mudder at a later date this year."
Judd previously took part in the London Marathon for the first leg of the physical charity double header.
He developed an irregular heartbeat during training for the marathon due to excessive exercise, but the drummer still managed to complete the run.
James about a new song:
yeah thats one of my favourite songs we ever wrote. hands down @tommcfly
We've been celebrating our new King's (after 4 Queens) inauguration and enjoying a few days off, so that's why we've been away a few days. But we're back now, and we're buzzing to go see the tour! It's May, so only 16 sleeps! WEW.
Also, this got us really excited:
Looking forward to getting some mcfly stuff done in the studio tomorrow. Album 6 stuff. Yes yes yes.
