Radio Mission: 3FM MetMichiel

Our first Radio Mission in 2 years is coming up on WEDNESDAY 31 OCTOBER and we are targeting 3FM. If you want to help us get Love Is Easy on national Dutch radio, keep reading to see how you can help!

From experience, we know that in the 3FM studios, the radio DJs keep a very close eye at their twitter feeds and every time 3FM even gets as much as mention, it shows up in their feed. This means that if we direct tweets with hashtags, links, requests etc. to the radio DJs at 3FM that they see everything… it's not difficult to get noticed, this is the easy part.

Once we have been noticed, we can't let them escape. We won't let it happen that they see our tweets, and then don't do anything. We need them to actually listen to us and then play the song… and we're not stopping for anything less.

On Wednesday 31 October, from 19:00 til 22:00 (Dutch time, 18:00 - 21:00 for the UK) we can listen to 3FM's MetMichiel. We know this guy; he's actually really nice and friendly and doesn't give us a hard time. Because of the perfect time slot and the fact that he will most likely be kind and actually play the song, he is the person that will get a load of McFly related tweets from the minute his show starts… get ready Michiel.

We (the mission:MCFLY team) will be e-mailing the Love Is Easy track repeatedly; we have the HQ official single version of the song, so please do not send Michiel youtube rips or radio rips. 3FM aren't allowed to play those.

From 19:00 to 22:00 you can tweet the following pre-set (Dutch) tweets or think of your own spam tweets to send. Note that ANYONE can send these tweets, no matter where you live or where you are from. Simply copy and paste these tweets into twitter:

"Hey @michielveenstra, zou je de nieuwe #McFly track #LoveIsEasy willen draaien? #3fm Check je mail voor de track! missionmcfly.com"

"Please draai de nieuwe #McFly track #LoveIsEasy @michielveenstra #3fm Check je mail voor het nummer! missionmcfly.com #missionmcfly"

We need to keep the tweets coming throughout the entire MetMichiel show, so sit yourself down, get a drink so you're completely ready to spam for a couple of hours straight.

For the Dutchies: If you want to call or text message the 3Fm studio, you can! From experience we know that if they get calls with requests that have appeared on the internet a lot, that they are more likely to pay it some attention and actually play the track. Texting and calling will cost you money though, so check with the bill payers if it's okay if you call and/or text repeatedly.

Call the studio at 0909 1336 (25 eurocents per minute) and send your texts to 3333 (45 eurocents).

Spread the word amongst your friends, call the studio and maybe you will be asked to talk to the radio DJ Michiel on air to talk about McFly, the song Love Is Easy and mission:MCFLY so know what you're gonna say and do us proud!
