Just a quick update about the Star Wars charity quiz. Tom, Dougie, Giovanna, Lara and the rest of their table came in 7th. Tom said on Twitter: "Not bad considering some people in the room were actually IN Star Wars!!! ...although we did have Boba Fett on our table...yes the actual man who played Boba Fett...pretty badass team mate!" Dougie couldn't totally agree with Tom, he tweeted: "Even with the dude that plays boba fett on our table we only came 6th! Like totally FML".

Writing trip:
You may have noticed on Twitter that McFly's currently writing new songs again. Dougie, Danny and Tom teamed up for three days to to on another creative trip. Harry's still on tour with Strictly Come Dancing. All Twitpics can be found in our gallery. Here are the updates of the last 72 hours (Tom's one-liners are just hilarious):

- Danny: Mornin! Had a late one last night in the studio then FIFA ! Today I go on another writing trip wohoooo ! Got to pack the studio.....quick
- Samuel Smith: Just listened to a cheeky top secret remix @Dannymcfly sent me over and SH*T THE BED IT'S KRUNKING. Top notch work chap!
- Tom: The end of a very VERY productive week...an the start of another (hopefully) VERY creative trip with ma boys....
- Tom: Ok, just thought I'd try out some new lingo I'd heard...promise not to say "ma boys" ever again... [...] ...what about fo shizzle? Yo feelin ma vibes? [...] ...nope, that doesn't work either.
- Tom: I going to make it my mission to bust the most badass moves on this tour. You wait. I'm talking about the robot, the caterpillar, and...er? [...] I'll work on some others...
- Tom: I can never remember if it's Mcdonalds or Macdonalds. Are we Mcfly or Macfly?
- Tom: Studio is all set up in a new house. Writing trip number 3 for album number...6?...bloody hell, we're on our 6th album!
- Harry: Hotel room is next to the lift's. Every time it goes up or down it sounds like the intro to Pass-out. Tinnie Temper should be getting PRS.
- Tom: Morning. It's freezing! First day of writing trip 3. [...] There is white stuff falling from the sky
- Danny: The studio, all set up and looking good in its new surroundings :) [...] Not to forget .... The studio necessities. Big speakers, small speakers and a Yankee candle [...] Ignore the family photos that's nothing to do with me
- Harry: Boo Hoo I've missed MOTD and Becks.

- Danny: Goodnight! Working on new tunes is sweet. :)
- Tom: They've got a Nespresso here. It's awesome. May have to put one on our wedding list @giovannafalcone...?
- Danny: Good morning! Day 2/3 of the writing, got a sweet song by the name of something you can drink haha....let's do it
- Tom: Tucked up by the fire. Had an epic dinner. Joint effort by myself @Dannymcfly and @dougiemcfly. Now on our 2nd coffee and another new song.
- Tom: Me and Danny are putting down some piano. Dougie is on Madge watch.
- Tom: This is what you get when @Dannymcfly produces your album. Using his sock to dampen the bass. Yum.
- Tom: We're bringing Na Na's back on this album.
- Tom: We smell like 3 wookiees in a sauna.

Simon's secret:
In any other news... We hope everyone's keeping an eye on Simon Mitchell's Facebook page. Last week he uploaded a sneak peek of McFly artwork. Today he shared the message:

"I could so easily show you guys what im working on at the moment but I think McFly and TMB might kill me......(but its so tempting)..........ha ha ha :) I will however do another sneaky peek tomorrow!!! (obviously its not gonna give too much away - but it will be in colour............) So what ya wanna see?"

We don't know whether this is true or not, but today we recieved a message from Press Party with the latest McFly article about Dougie. Since the untrue Danny/Georgia gossip, we're very careful with articles like this, the article below isn't confirmed, so we can't tell if this is really true.

McFly's Dougie Poynter talks going tee-total

McFly's Dougie Poynter has revealed that his McFly bandmates have been toning down their drinking in an effort to help him out.

Poynter entered rehab early last year, with his admission attributed to stress and his break up with the Saturdays' Frankie Sandford.

The bassist is now also tee-total and he told the Mirror that his bandmates have reducing their drink intake to help him - although the novelty of drinking seems to have worn off for the boys. He said:

"None of the boys really drink now to help me out. We are all a bit more grown-up now, so the novelty has kind of worn off. In the early days of McFly, we went wild!"

The I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2011 winner also revealed that he's not missing alcohol - and admits that he is a lot more productive as a result. He added:

"I'm not missing the booze. I had to give up because I always took it too far. Now I'm clear-headed, I like being hangover-free - I get a lot more achieved. Once you get through that barrier at events and nights out, you realise you aren't getting drunk and it's fine."

Tom Fletcher's re-buff

MCFLY’S Tom Fletcher might be getting hitched soon, but he’s not bothered about getting buff again.

The singer, 26, told us: "I don’t do the gym any more, hell no. I have given that up."

"I will leave that to Harry now."

"I can’t believe how well he looks after Strictly, there is not an ounce of fat on him at the moment."
