McFly struggle to stay relevant...
A new article was posted by Press Party - not the most reliable source out there given their recent articles about McFly - about McFly taking their success for granted.
We took our success for granted, says McFly's Harry Judd McFly drummer Harry Judd has admitted that he thinks the band took their initial success for granted. Speaking to Digital Spy, Judd conceded that a long period of inactivity between albums caused some people to lose interest in the band. He also admitted that McFly, who have been together for nine years, sometimes find it hard to stay relevant in the music scene. He said: "We did an album in 2010, but we had a long gap between album four and five. We'd been going for six or seven years; it took a year and a half to make it, and we didn't do any publicity during that time. I think we realised how hard it was to get people interested again. I think we'd taken our success for granted. Thankfully the album went well and we had a big hit with 'Shine A Light', which meant we could go on tour again. At the same time though, other bands were coming through and it's hard to stay relevant." There's one thing we certainly agree with: McFly taking too much time in between albums. If they're touring, we're not complaining, but we need new tunes to feed the fangirlism (our only serious health condition)! Go check out our previous update about TheirMag, because we've got some more information for you! Metro McFly are now running a competition where you can win a signed copy of Attitude Magazine which Harry Judd signed himself! Go over to their website to see how you can enter!
As if that prize isn't good enough a reason to sign the twitition that's going around, we are also planning on buying three extra copies (may the McFly magazine become reality) to give away to YOU guys. So if you want to win a free copy, you need to make sure that there's enough votes in the twitition first! |
