The Strictly Come Dancing tour has ended and today is the start of McFly's week of the tour rehearsals! Tour kicks off very soon, only 8 more days. Who's excited?! We know we are.

The day has come. Tom wrote a song about his cats. We gotta say, this video is very adorable, especially the exchange of looks around 12 seconds. Our cheeks hurt from smiling. Just brilliant.

McFly Live at York Racecourse

Minster FM can exclusively announce that we're bringing chart-topping pop-rockers McFly to York Races after the sporting action on Saturday July 28th as part of the popular Music Showcase Weekend.

Well known to the public from their success both on the Strictly dancefloor and in the Celebrity Jungle; Harry and Dougie accompanied by band mates Tom and Danny will be performing hits from their number one albums such as the chart topping, All About You, Obviously and 5 Colours In Her Hair.

It promises to be a fun filled 24 hours for racing and music fans as the preceding Friday evening (July 27th) is the only evening meeting in the York season and the live music act for this night remains a closely guarded secret!

McFly’s Harry said: “We’ll be in York for our sold-out gig at the Barbican in April, so we’re very excited to be back in the city, performing at the racecourse in July.”

“We really enjoy playing racecourses and, because we’ve heard there’s always an incredible atmosphere at York Races, we are especially looking forward to performing!”

Each year the Music Showcase Weekend is enjoyed by racegoers of all ages with children accompanying parents able to enjoy the fun free of charge.

The two days of racing form part of the Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival supported by Sky Bet and Welcome to Yorkshire; a nine day celebration of racing across the county when all eight flat courses will stage a meeting.
