I would answer all your wishes, if you asked me to!
We can post tons of articles about Dougie being on I'm A Celeb, but we selected a few nice ones (We didn't post the "Frankie doesn't look bothered about Dougie's new girlfriend" posts and related stuff, because we're getting really tired of these stories to be honest) for you all to read.
McFly bassist Dougie Poynter doesn’t think he has what it takes to win the latest series of I’m a Celebrity.
The 23 year old star of boyband McFly was answering fan’s questions before entering the jungle this weekend on Sunday, November 13.
When asked if he thinks he has what it takes to win the latest series of the hit jungle show. The coy musician said: “Definitely not, after a week I think everyone will be sick off me because I'll probably say something that will put them off me.”
Poynter does have a few tricks up his sleeves to keep himself occupied whilst in the jungle and perhaps keep himself out of trouble. The All About You star said: “By learning some new skills, like digging holes, setting traps and general life skills.”
Dougie’s chances of winning the show may also be upset due to his vivid imagination.
His only fear of entering the jungle is a particular demonic farm animal terrorises the camp at night, he said: “night time means goat demons come out to play” - we think you might ok with that one Dougie!
Find out how Dougie and the rest of the camp cope in the jungle, when I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! kick starts on Sunday November 13.
Dougie Poynter takes I'm A Celeb tips from Matt Willis
(Source: The Independent)
The McFly guitarist - who is entering the ITV1 show alongside the likes of Mark Wright, Freddie Starr and Antony Cotton on Sunday - has received tips on how to cope with the gruesome challenges presented on the series from his close pal, who was crowned King of the Jungle in 2006.
Dougie explained: "One of my best friends, Matt Willis, has done it before. He went on to win it. When I told him I was going to do it, he told me I had to.
"He said he had the best night's sleep ever under the stars. His advice to me, however, was to make sure I don't say the magic words, 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"
The 23-year-old star - who will celebrate his birthday in the jungle - admitted he would pay to be a part of the show, as he is "really into nature" and sees natural history expert Sir David Attenborough as a "god".
Dougie added: "I would pay to do something like this if I wasn't doing it for TV. I am so excited. I am really into nature and Sir David Attenborough is a god to me. He would be my ideal person to go in the jungle if I could choose somebody."
However, the hunk is afraid 'I'm A Celeb' could see him "lose his mind". He said: "One of my biggest fears is losing my mind. I tend to over think a lot. If I let my head think for too long, then that is when the voices start talking!"
