New best friends Mark Wright and Dougie Poynter enthusiastically planned a pre-Christmas date to celebrate the McFly band member’s birthday.

Dougie, who turns 24 tomorrow (Wednesday, November 30), and TOWIE star Mark plan to make a day of it in London.

Mark said: ”We will roam the streets of London, we’ll buy a Christmas album, come with me shopping for family and friends. We will go for mulled wine and see a Christmas film.
“We drive to deli to get milk shake, drive around corner to have big fry up with chips, venture into London. Go to an animal park, have a coffee and a waffle and we’ll go to tinsel town. If I have to have a meeting in London you can put your face in a hot chocolate.”

Mark also cheekily added that he could ‘assist’ Dougie on dates with his artist girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones.

Despite Mark’s innuendos, Dougie was still excited by the idea of meeting up.
Mark said: “I'd be upset if I lost contact with you - it’s not just in here, I get on with you in every way. We’re the same age, I'd love to go out and continue being your good friend.”

Dougie replied: “Oh sweet, we are definitely going to do loads of hanging when we get out. For some reason we get on.”

An ecstatic Mark said: “Love it Dougs. We are from different ends of the stick, like different music, hang with different people, different clubs. Never did I realise we'd be so alike in personal ways.”

The pair have become famous for their ‘DMCs’ – deep and meaningful chats.

If you’ve been watching I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here as much as we have been, you’ll know that the lovely Dougie Poynter from McFly is completely and utterly loved up with his new girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones. In fact, he’s been banging on about how adorable his new flame is for a week or so now, and according to The Sun, Dougie’s so serious about his girl that he's told Mark Wright how he’s ready to marry her!

Dougie revealed soppily, "I think I'm gonna marry her. I feel like she's a much more awesome version of me in a girl's body. Lara is a complete one-off... gorgeous."

Aw! How sweet is he – we wish our boyfriend would talk about us like that with his mates.

Even though the Dougster being so happy is great news to everyone (especially those who felt his pain following his break up with Saturdays star Frankie Sandford), we also know there will be a whole load of young hearts breaking as the last single member of McFly hooks up for good. We just hope we get an invite to the wedding!
